Whether they are intentionally lazy or just tired after a hard day of saving the world, these nemuidere boys still remain iconic in the eyes of fans for a variety of reasons; with one of these reasons most likely being their love of sleep, the nemuidere boys of this list also serve as a reminder of the importance of sleep.
7 Link (The Legend of Zelda series)
From slaying Ganondorf to vanquishing other villains that may threaten Hyrule, it may seem hard to label Link as a nemuidere. But on the other hand, to say that there is a strong relationship between Link and sleep is quite an understatement.
One of the first scenes in many Legend of Zelda games usually consists of Link being woken up by those around him, be it his sister Aryll from Wind Waker or the village children from Ocarina of Time. In fact, in Breath of the Wild, Hyrule would have most likely faced certain doom if Link was not revitalized from his hundred-year sleep.
6 Akitaka Kujoh (1bitHeart)
Despite his menacing, red appearance, Akitaka is actually quite a laid-back individual. Residing in the ever-so dangerous Break Passage, when not performing with his band, Akitaka spends most of his free time taking long naps, making it a difficult task for his friends to wake him up.

Akitaka first meets Nanashi in Coco Alley while the latter is investigating the mysterious Honey Garden vandalism. It is not until Nanashi and Misane investigate the illegal One-Punch Dead game in Break Passage that Akitaka and Nanashi officially become friends, though Akitaka still prefers to sleep instead of socializing.
5 Noctis Lucis Caelum (Final Fantasy 15)
In an effort to cope with the duties that come with being the crown prince, Noctis tended to isolate himself from others, preferring to doze off on his own time. This was especially prevalent when Noctis was a teenager when he displayed a lack of interest in whatever was happening around him.
Though his mannerisms make him seem uncaring, Noctis is, in reality, a very loyal individual. Despite his royal upbringing, he views his friends as equals and values their company. Although he leaves his friends behind in order to enter a ten-year sleep within the Crystal, he wastes no time reuniting with them upon his awakening.
4 Gaspar (Chrono Trigger)
Holding the title of The Guru of Time, Gaspar serves as an ally to the party throughout their journey. A time traveler, Gaspar is the one responsible for gifting the Time Egg to the party when they reach the End of Time following Crono’s death.

Although his title is extremely important, Gaspar actually carries himself in a very relaxed manner. When the party is not interacting with him, Gaspar can most likely be found sleeping underneath a lamppost, not moving an inch from where the party last found him.
3 Adol Christin (Ys series)
Much like Link, to say that Adol is a nemuidere can be quite a surprise. From traversing the Darm Tower to slaying giant centipede demons, Adol’s feats very much overshadow the times when he is dozing off.
The true case for Adol being a nemuidere lies in the most recurring gag in the Ys series. Due to his terrible luck with boats, Adol will usually encounter some sort of mishap at sea, whether he is attacked by enemies or experiences a shipwreck. Therefore, Adol often arrives in a new land injured and unconscious, resulting in his needing to sleep in order to recover.
2 Stahn Aileron (Tales of Destiny)
Having led a peaceful childhood, Stahn was determined to escape the boredom that seemed to dominate his village. But even after boarding the Draconis, one habit that Stahn could never seem to shake off was his tendency to sleep, resulting in those around him, namely his sister Lilith, resorting to unorthodox methods in order to wake him up.

Though his lazy and naive ways may get on the nerves of Lilith and Dymlos, his talking sword, Stahn nonetheless possesses a good heart. His impulsive antics make for great comic relief throughout Tales of Destiny while his growth into a mature young man makes him stand out as one of the best Tales protagonists.
1 Lindhardt (Fire Emblem Three Houses)
Unlike many of the nobles present in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Lindhardt can hardly be described as prideful, instead carrying himself with an air of disinterest and nonchalance. Despite being extremely intelligent, many of Lindhardt’s support conversations show that he prefers to spend his days sleeping, and occasionally doing other casual activities that pique his interest.
As a result of shirking his duties towards House Hevring, many of the other nobles of the game look down on Lindhardt, though he pays them little mind; many of his endings even involve him ultimately abandoning his noble house in favor of living his own life. The only thing able to keep Lindhardt from falling asleep is the topic of Crests, a topic to which he is completely and utterly dedicated.
